WHEN: 17 May 2026 (07:00 to 14:00).
WHERE: Various Streets, Chesterfield - Boythorpe Road (from Wallace Barracks to Dock Walk), Dock Walk, Central Avenue, Boythorpe Avenue, Park Road, Markham Road, West Bars Roundabout (southern side only), A619 Wheatbridge Road / Chatsworth Road, Old Road, Slack Lane, Ashgate Road, Saltergate, Glumangate, High Street, Burlington Street, Steeplegate, Vicar Lane, Central Pavement, Low Pavement, West Bars (to cross into Queens Park). REASON: To facilitate the Chesterfield 10K Running Event 2026.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Local diversions apply.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 16(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
