THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CORPORATION STREET
AND STATION ROAD, CHESTERFIELD) (ONE - WAY TRAFFIC (EXCEPT CYCLES)) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that; on the 23rd Day of April 2026 Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 4th Day of May 2026 and its effect is:
TO RESTRICT ANY VEHICLES (EXCEPT CYCLES) PROCEEDING IN ANY DIRECTION OTHER THAN THAT SPECIFIED ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Corporation Street, Chesterfield
From its junction with St. Mary’s Gate in an easterly direction to its junction with Station Road.
Station Road, Chesterfield
From a point 14 metres south-west of its junction with Corporation Street in a south-westerly direction to a point 16 metres north-east of its junction with Station Back Lane (an approximate distance of 40 metres).
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, and at Chesterfield Local Studies Library, New Beetwell Street, S40 1QN during opening hours and on request by emailing

quoting reference Z3400, until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 4th Day of June 2026. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 23rd Day of April 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
