THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN RESPECT
OF SURFACE TREATMENT WORKS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an
Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the
following stretches of road:
Constantine Way closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is anticipated
that the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between
the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Cadgwith Gardens closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is anticipated
that the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between
the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Harlyn Close closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is anticipated that
the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the
hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Stonedown Close closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is anticipated
that the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between
the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Dunsfold Close closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is anticipated that
the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the
hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Braden Road closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the closure
will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the hours of
08:00 and 17:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: Springhill Lane, Warstones Road,
Hollybush Lane and vice versa.
The Crescent closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the closure
will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the hours of
08:00 and 17:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: School Road, The Crescent and vice versa.
Saint Michael’s Court closed in its entirety. Access/egress to be maintained. It is
anticipated that the closure will operate for one day between 11 May 2026 and
15 May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
Sambrook Road closed from its junction with D’Eyncourt Road and its junction with
Kingsway Road. It is anticipated that the closure will operate for one day between
11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. Vehicular
Diversion Route: D’Eyncourt Road, Kingsway Road and vice versa.
Sambrook Road closed from its junction with Kingsway Road and its junction with
Wimbourne Road. It is anticipated that the closure will operate for one day between
11 May 2026 and 15 May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Kingsway Road, Wimborne Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that
the works will be undertaken between the dates detailed above, between the times specified.
The Order is required to facilitate surface treatment works in the carriageway.
