Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 27th April 2026 North East Derbyshire District Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 32, 35 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 has made an Order for the regulation of the off-street parking places provided by the Council. The title of the Order is the North East Derbyshire District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) (Amendment No.1) Order 2026 (“the Amendment No.1 Order”) The Amendment No.1 Order will amend the (Off- Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2009 (“the Principal Order”).
The Amendment No.1 Order relates to off street car parks owned by North East Derbyshire District Council and shall come into effect from 27th April 2026
The effect of the Amendment No.1 Order is summarised as follows:
1. The removal of Sharley Park Leisure Centre Car Park, Clay Cross from the Principle Order
2. The removal of No.1 Market Street Car Park, Clay Cross from the Principle Order
3. The High Street Car Park, Clay Cross is to be regulated under the Amendment No.1 Order
4. The Clay Cross Active Car Park, Clay Cross is to be regulated under the Amendment No.1 Order
A copy of the Order may be inspected at District Council Office, 2013 Mill Lane, Wingerworth, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S42 6NG during normal office hours Monday to Friday
If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
