East Devon - Temporary Road Closures & Parking Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 - The County Of Devon - (Temporary Restriction) – (Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth) - (No. 2) Order 2026 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
Notice is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order.
From 20/5/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 30/5/26.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: Withycombe Village Road, Exmouth.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via: St Johns Road – Bradham Lane – Salterton Road – Claremont Grove – Marpool Hill – Withycombe Road & Vice Versa.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Undertake A Mains Connection.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via: Upper Stoneborough Lane: East Budleigh Road - Coastguard Road - Coastguard Hill - Marine Parade - South Parade - Fore Street - High Street - Station Road & Vice Versa.
Station Road: Moor Lane - Barn Lane - Greenway Lane - Copp Hill Lane - Leas Road & Vice Versa.
Cricket Field Lane: Chapel Hill - Chapel Street - B3178 - Station Road - Upper Stoneborough & Vice Versa.
