What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow the Hook Fun Run & Road Race to take place out on or near the road. ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Oak Tree Drive between its junction with B3349 Griffin Way North and its junction with Alderwood Drive. Alderwood Drive between its junction with Oak Tree Drive and its junction with Reading Road. Reading Road between its junction with B3349 Griffin Way North and its junction with A30 London Road.
Reading Road between its junction with A30 London Road and its junction with Nightingale Gardens. Hook Road between its junction with The Street and its junction with B3349 Reading Road. The Street between its junction with Hook Road and its junction with Post Horn Lane. Frog Lane between its junction with The Street and its junction with Rotherwick Road. Rotherwick Road between its junction with Frog Lane and its junction with Mill Lane. Mill Lane between its junction with Rotherwick Road and its junction with Frog Lane. Post Horn Lane between its junction with The Street and its junction with Strouds Green Lane. Newnham Road between its junction with Ridge Lane and its junction with A30 London Road. A30 London Road between its junction with Elms Road and its junction with B3349 Griffin Way North. Old School Road between its junction with Newnham Road and its junction with Morris Street. ONE-WAY SUSPENSION – To impose a one-way road on the following roads: A30 London Road between its junction with Old School Road and its junction with B3349 Griffin Way North. Traffic will only be permitted in a Westbound direction. Ridge Lane between its junction with Post Horn Lane and its junction with Newnham Road. Traffic will only be permitted in a Northbound direction. Post Horn Lane between its junction with Ridge Lane and its junction with The Street. Traffic will only be permitted in a Northbound direction. B3349 Reading Road/ Griffin Way North between its junction with Hook Road and its junction with A30 London Road. Traffic will only be permitted in a Southbound direction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A (Diversions will be advised by Marshalls out on the route at the time of the event)
DURATION OF ORDER: from Sunday 17th May 2026 between the hours 09:00 – 13:00 for 1 day or until the event has ended, whichever is sooner. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the event is being carried out. The Road Closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate the event of the Hook Fun Run & Road Race.
