What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: that part of Green Meadow Lane between its junction with A3057 Winchester Road for the extent of the road. that part of Cowdown Lane between its junction with A3057 Winchester Road and its junction with Ladies Walk.  
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Green Meadow Lane – N/A Cowdown Lane – A3057, A303.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from 11th May 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30-15:20).  
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out cabling and pole testing. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order or the associated works, please contact: surveys@sunbeltrentals.co.uk  
Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
