What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – B0066
CRAIGMORE ROAD, RINGSEND

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Prohibition of
Right-Hand Turn (Newtownabbey) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026.
The Order will prohibit vehicles proceeding in a south-easterly direction along Glenville Road,
Newtownabbey from making a right-hand turn into A2 Shore Road. It will also prohibit vehicles
proceeding in a north-easterly direction along Shore Road (service road), Unclassified No. 421,
Newtownabbey from making a right-hand turn into Shore Road (Whiteabbey village),
Unclassified No. 421. Vehicles are excepted from the prohibitions in certain circumstances.
Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the roads
involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at DfI

PROHIBITION OF U-TURN –
NEWTOWNABBEY

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Prohibition of
U-Turn (Newtownabbey) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026.
The Order will prohibit vehicles proceeding in a north-easterly direction along Shore Road
(Whiteabbey village), Unclassified No. 421, from making a U-Turn on that road, from its junction
with A2 Shore Road to a point 30 metres north-east of that junction.
