(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF CYLCES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any cycle to proceed over that length of Euxton Lane, Euxton (Footway) from its most northern boundary of its carriageway for a distance of 2 metres in a northerly direction, from its junction with Central Avenue, Buckshaw Village for a distance of 120 metres in an easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Thursday 30th April 2026 until 1700 hours on Friday 8th May 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. Cyclists will be instructed to dismount and use the allocated pedestrian footway.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow excavation works to be carried out in the footway to divert HV mains cable.
