THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(DEANSGATE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 24 April 2026 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to utility works. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in a westerly direction along Deansgate from its junction with Cookson Street to a point which is approximately 40 metres west of its junction with Cookson Street.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times.
Vehicular access will be maintained to Talbot Road Car Park and for service yards.
All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 6 May 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 14 days.
