The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a northern irregularly shaped part width of Denman Road and an irregularly southern part width of Denman Road at Rotherham, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham.
If the order is made, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development as permitted by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council under references RB2025/0498 and RB2025/0520.
Copies of the draft order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Montgomery Hall, Church Street, WathUpon-Dearne, Rotherham, S63 7RD in the 28 days commencing on 24 April 2026, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/6292) at the address stated below.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov. uk or National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 22 May 2026. You are advised that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to the applicant/agent to enable your objection to be considered.
