What is happening?

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH (CONSOLIDATED)
(WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING, DISABLED PARKING AND RESIDENTS PARKING)
AMENDMENT ORDER No.63, MARCH 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has MADE the above Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

Restrictions under the Order
The Order will come into operation on Monday 18 May 2026 and includes the following effects as
advertised in the Express and Star newspaper dated 21 March 2026.


Stafford Street (B4120), Walsall

Addition of limited waiting restrictions, Monday to Saturday 8am-6.30pm, 2 hours no return within 2 hours, Stafford Street (west side) 5 metres north of Long Acre Street for approximately 12 metres northwards & (east side) 5 metres south of Rycroft Park for approximately 15 metres southwards.
Addition of no waiting and loading at any time restriction, Stafford Street (east side) from Whitehouse Street northwards for approximately 23 metres.
Addition of no waiting at any time, no loading Monday to Friday 8-9.30am & 4-6.30pm restriction, Stafford Street (east side) from Ryecroft Park southwards for approximately 3 metres.
Removal of no waiting at any time, no loading Monday to Friday 8-9.30am & 4-6.30pm Stafford Street (east side) from Whitehouse Street northwards for approximately 38 metres.
Removal of no waiting at any time, no loading Monday to Friday 8-9.30am & 4-6.30pm restriction Stafford Street (west side) 5 metres north of Long Acre Street for approximately 12 metres.
Minor amendments to extent of no waiting at any time, no loading Monday to Friday 8-9.30am & 4-6.30pm restrictions due to kerb realignment, Stafford Street at its junctions with Long Acre Street, John Street and Short Acre Street.

Revocations
Walsall Metropolitan Borough (Bus Lanes, Bus Gate and Bus Only Streets) Order 2021 Schedule 1a – Stafford Street (southbound) part-time with flow bus lane between Ryecroft Park and Ryecroft Street.

Full details of the Order and plans which show the roads subject to the Order may be examined by
appointment at The Civic Centre, Darwall Street, WALSALL, during normal office hours. (Ref: GW/2265/6162). If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from 24 April 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
