SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below.  The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.         
The Order/s came into force on 27th April 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier.  However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Traffic will be prohibited from using:
B4398, Llanymynech on 27th April 2026 between 09:30 to 15:30 for Utility Streetworks
Podmore Road, Cheswardine on 28th April 2026 for 4 days for Utility Streetworks
Fenns Bank Road, Whixhall on 30th April 2026 for 2 days for Utility Streetworks
Judith Butts Gardens, Shrewsbury on 28th April 2026 from 21:00 to 05:00 29th April 2026 for Utility Streetworks
Brockton Crossroads, Brockton on 27th April 2026 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00 for Highways Roadworks

St Marys Place, Shrewsbury (from opposite The Parade shopping centre to the ticket machine opposite no.5), Castle Gates, Shrewsbury (outside Library) and Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury (o/s No.13) Suspension of Parking bays and reserved for Event Parking on 29th April 2026 for 7 days for Public Event
Harlescott Lane and Vanguard Way, Shrewsbury A one way road closure will be in place on Harlescott Lane from the Lancaster Road junction, preventing traffic from travelling towards Harlescott Crossroads. In conjunction with this closure, Vanguard Way will also be closed at the mini roundabout. On 27th April 2026 for 37 days for Utility Streetworks
