Notice of Proposed Special Event

Notice is hereby given that Belfast City Council by virtue of the
powers conferred on it by Article 8A of and Schedule 3A to the
Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 is minded
to make an Order to temporarily restrict or prohibit all traffic
from using the following roads in accordance with the details
in the Schedule hereto to facilitate the safe operation of filming
organised by Robert Huffam. Where necessary, local diversions
will be in operation, signed as appropriate during the times stated
below or until the time the event is announced by the organiser as
completed, whichever is the earlier, the right of way on the road,
vehicles and other forms of traffic shall be restricted or prohibited.
Monday 25 May 2026, 9.30am to 6.30pm
Road closure:
• Church Road, Newtownbreda (from Upper Galwally to a point
100m north of Purdy’s Lane)
Tuesday 26 May 2026, 8.30am to 8.30pm
Road closure:
• Merok Crescent (from Merok Park to Carnamena Avenue)
• Carnamena Avenue (from Merok Crescent to Glensharragh
Gardens)
Temporary traffic control:
• Glensharragh Gardens (at a point 50m west of Carnamena
Avenue)
• Carnamena Avenue (at a point 100m south of Glensharragh
Gardens)
• Carnamena Gardens (at the junction of Carnamena Avenue)
Thursday 28 May and Friday 29 May 2026,
8.30am to 7.30pm
Road closure:
• Merok Gardens (from Merok Drive to Merok Park)

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge
at the address stated below or online at

Persons wishing to make representations to the Council regarding
the proposals may make representations in writing to the Building
Control Service at the address below by 5pm on 15 May 2026.
Representations received after this date will not
be considered.
