(AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 & Pt. IV of Sch. 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is To introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on: a) Bede Street on the western side of Bede Street from its junction with Browning Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 9m. b) Glebe Terrace on its northern side from its junction with Tennyson Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 51m. c) Tennyson Road on its eastern side from its junction with Glebe Terrace in a northerly direction for a distance of 35m. d) Milburn Close on both sides from its junction with Seaside lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 16m. e) Seaside Lane on its northern side from its junction with Milburn Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 11m. f) Seaside Lane on its northern side from its junction with Milburn Close in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m. g) Laburnum Crescent on both sides from its junction with Seaside Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 11m. h) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Laburnum Crescent in an easterly direction for a distance of 6m. i) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Laburnum Crescent in a westerly direction to its junction with Merrick House entrance. j) Lauren Court on both sides from its junction with Seaside Lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 8 m. k) Seaside Lane on its northern side from its junction with Lauren Court in an easterly direction for a distance of 6m. l) Seaside Lane on its northern side from its junction with Lauren Court in a westerly direction for a distance of 9m. m) Jude Street on both sides from its junction with Seaside Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 10m. n) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Jude Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 6m. o) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Jude Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 6m. p) Hopper Street on both sides from its junction with Seaside Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 10m. q) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Hopper Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 6m. r) Seaside Lane on its southern side from its junction with Hopper Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 6m. s) Stonelea Court on both sides from its junction with Thorpe Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 9m. t) Thorpe Road on its eastern side from its junction with Stonelea Court in a southerly direction for a distance of 8m. u) Thorpe Road on its eastern side from its junction with Stonelea Court in a northerly direction for a distance of 26m. v) Nuersery Gardens on both sides from its junction with Thorpe Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 8m. w) Thorpe Road on its western side from its junction with Nursery Gardens in a southerly direction for a distance of 14m. x) Thorpe Road on its eastern side from its junction with Nursery Gardens in a northerly direction for a distance of 11m. To introduce ‘Restricted Waiting, Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm’ restrictions on:- Seaside Lane on its northern side from a point 9m west of its junction with Lauren Court in a westerly direction for a distance of 65m. To introduce ‘Restricted Waiting and Loading/Unloading, Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm’ restrictions on: St Nicholas Terrace on its western side from a point 20m south of its junction with Whickham Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 30m To introduce ‘No stopping on entrance markings, Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm’ restrictions on: a) St Nicholas Terrace on its southern side from a point 7m west of its junction with Paradise Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 40 m. b) St Nicholas Terrace on its western side from a point 20m south of its junction with Whickham Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 30m. c) Whickham Street on its southern side from a point 26m west of its junction with St Nicholas Terrace in a westerly direction for a distance of 26 m. d) Hall Walks on its southern side from a point 34m east of its junction with St Mary’s Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 44m. To introduce ‘Restricted Waiting and Loading/Unloading, Mon-Fri, 8am-9am, 3pm-4pm’ restrictions: St Mary’s Close on its western side from a point 18 m south of Number 4’s northern property boundary in a southerly then easterly direction for a distance of 13 m. To introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time and Restricted Loading/Unloading, Mon-Fri, 8am-9am, 3pm-4pm’ restrictions: a) St Mary’s Close on its western side from its junction with Hall Walks in a southerly direction for a distance of 27m. b) St Mary’s Close on its eastern side from its junction with Hall Walks in a southerly direction for a distance of 12m. c) Hall Walks on its southern side from its junction with St Mary’s Close in a westerly direction for a distance of 8m. d) Hall Walks on its southern side from its junction with St Mary’s Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 4m. e) Hall Walks on both sides from a point 14 m east of its junction with St Mary’s Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 19 m. f) Hall Walks on its southern side from a point 77m east of its junction with St Mary’s Close in an easterly direction for a distance of 17m. To amend ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions TO ‘No Waiting At Any Time and Restricted Loading/Unloading, Mon-Fri, 8am-9am, 3pm-4pm’ restrictions: a) Hall Walks on its northern side from its junction with unnamed access road in an easterly direction for a distance of 19m. b) Hall Walks on its northern side from its junction with unnamed access road in a westerly direction for a distance of 15m. To introduce a ‘Loading Only, 8am-6pm’ restricted bay: Seaside Lane on its northern side from a point adjacent to property Number 17’s eastern boundary, in a westerly direction for a distance of 8.5 m. All other existing restrictions currently in operation throughout these locations will remain unchanged.
