The City of Edinburgh Council

(Castlehill area) (Temporary road restriction and Traffic regulation) order 2026 – Temp/26/77 The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to: (1) Introduce an exemption for vehicles linked to the rigging and de-rigging of the tattoo stands to the at any time prohibition of vehicles over 7.5 tonnes on Johnston Ter, Lawnmarket and Castlehill; and (2) Introduce an exemption for vehicles linked to the rigging and de-rigging of the tattoo stands to the at any time prohibition of motor vehicles on Johnston Ter, Lawnmarket and Castlehill. The Order shall have effect from 30/04/26 to 26/10/26.
