NOTICE is given that on 20 April 2026 Oxfordshire County Council made the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the orders, which come into force on 27 April is to reduce speed limits on & adjoining roads along the A4260 corridor between Shipton-on-Cherwell & Banbury as follows:

1. 30mph speed limits:

a. A4260 Oxford Road (at Bodicote/Banbury) – between its junction with the A361, and a point 25 metres south of its junction with Weeping Cross, in place of the existing 40mph speed limit.

2. 40mph speed limits:

a. A4260 Oxford/Banbury Road (at Hopcrofts Holt) – between a point 250 metres south of its junction with the B4030 (to Middle Barton), and a point 220 metres north of this junction, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit,

b. B4030 (at Hopcrofts Holt) – between a point 80 metres west of its junction with the A4260 Banbury Road, and a point 215 metres east of this junction, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit.

c. A4260 Banbury Road (at Shipton-on-Cherwell) – between a point 105 metres southeast of its junction with the A4095 Upper Campsfield, and a point 250 metres northwest of its junction with the A4095 Bunkers Hill, in place of the existing 50mph speed limit.

d. A4095 Bunkers Hill (at Shipton-on-Cherwell) – between its junction with the A4260 Banbury Road, and a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Field View Lane, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit

e. A4095 Upper Campsfield Road (at Shipton-on-Cherwell) – from its junction with the A4260 Banbury Road for a distance of 275 metres, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit.

3. 50mph speed limits:

a. A4260 Banbury Road (at Shipton-on-Cherwell) – extending the existing 50 speed limit northwards, a) to a point 105 metres southeast of its junction with the A4095 Upper Campsfield Road, then b) between a point 250 metres northwest of its junction with the A4095 Bunkers Hill, and a point 340 metres north of its junction with the unnamed road from ‘Sturdys Castle’ to Tackley, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit,

b. A4260 Banbury Road (at Rousham) – between a point 120 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road to Rousham, and a point 250 metres south of its junction with the B4030 to Middle Barton, in place of the existing 60mph

National speed limit,

c. A4260 Oxford Road (at Steeple Aston) – between a point 220 metres north of its junction with the B4030 to Middle Barton, and a point 145 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road to Middle Aston Lane, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit,

d. A4260 Oxford Road (at North Aston) – extending the existing 50 speed limit southwards, to a point 80 metres south of the access to the Thames Water reservoir site, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit,

e. A4260 Banbury Road (at Deddington) – between the existing 20mph speed limit at Deddington, and the existing 40mph speed limit at Adderbury, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit.

f. B4027 (at Tackley) – between its junction with the A4260 Banbury Road, and a point 20 metres west of its junction with the A4095 Bunkers Hill, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit.

4. 60mph speed limits:

a. A4260 Oxford Road Northbound carriageway (at Middle Aston) – between a point 145 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road to Middle Aston Lane, and a point 80 metres south of the access to the Thames Water reservoir site, in place of the existing 70mph National speed limit.

The Oxfordshire County Council (A4260 Kidlington to Bunkers Hill) (50MPH Speed Limit) Order 2001, Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2025, Oxfordshire County Council (Bletchingdon, Kirtlington and Shipton-on-Cherwell Areas) (Speed Limits) Order 2024, Oxfordshire County Council (Bodicote Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2023, Oxfordshire County Council (Steeple Aston Parish) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024, Oxfordshire County Council (Steeple Barton & Westcot Barton Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2023, Oxfordshire County Council (Tackley Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2024, and the Oxfordshire County Council (North Aston Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2023 are revoked/replaced as necessary. (VARIOUS ROADS – CHERWELL DISTRICT) (MAP BASED)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND

PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.21) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that on 20 April 2026 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 27 April introduces parking restrictions in Adderbury and Bloxham as follows: A. Adderbury:

‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) to be located on High Street (north side) around both sides of its junction with Croft Lane. B. Bloxham:

‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) parking restriction to be located on:

1. Courtington Lane (north side) – between its junctions with the A361 High Street including the junction ‘triangle’ and the access to the Bloxham School cricket ground.

2. Courtington Lane (south side) – between its junctions with the A361 High Street including the junction ‘triangle’ and Workhouse Lane.

3. Workhouse Lane (both sides) – from its junction with Courtington Lane, southwards for approx. 8 metres on the eastern side, and 20 metres on the western side.

‘No Waiting, Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm’ (single yellow lines) parking restriction to be located on:

4. Courtington Lane (north side) – southwest of its junction with The Pound, for approx. 25 metres adjacent to the

‘Telephone exchange’,

5. Courtington Lane (south side) – northeast of its junction with Workhouse Lane, for approx. 28 metres adjacent to the Bloxham School properties.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – Cherwell) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 is further amended as necessary, updating Map Tiles BF49 & BH57. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 20 April 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Heythrop, Woodland Public Footpath No.248/10/10

Date of Order: 20 April 2026

Coming into force: 1 May 2026

This Order is being introduced because of weir restoration and tree surgery which is anticipated to be completed on 31 October 2026. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the Woodland Public Footpath east of Heythrop Park Hotel. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed locally nearby. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This order will remain in force for 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17488/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Banbury, Sussex Drive Area Footpaths

Date of Order: 7 April 2026

Coming into force: 13 April 2026 This Order is being introduced because of electrical works which are anticipated to complete on 23 June 2026. This is a 24 hour footpath closure. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the footpath between No.23 Red Poll Close and South of No.110 Sussex Drive and the footpath west of Sussex Drive between No’s. 78 and 102. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route will be signed locally. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T17434/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Hook Norton, Tadmarton Heath Road/Oatley Hill

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 4 May 2026

Coming into force: 7 May 2026

This Order is being introduced because of road resurfacing works which are to be completed 5 June 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the length of Tadmarton Heath Road/Oatley Hill, between the crossroads at The Firs and the junction with Traitors Ford Lane at the county boundary. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is from the Firs Crossroads to head south to Hook Norton, to turn south along Chipping Norton Road, following it around to head west along Hook Norton Road to enter Great Rollright village, to turn back north along the Whichford Road turning to the road closure, and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
