ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
– SECTION 14(1)
U112 CROSTHWAITE TERRACE TWEEDMOUTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U112 Crosthwaite Terrace from its junction with C426 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 20 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 18th May 2026 until the 30th November 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th May 2026 until the 22nd June 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th November 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U112, C426 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks due to connection works as part of a major gas replacement scheme. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

U107 FOOTWAY FROM PALACE GREEN
PAST 14 TO PALACE STREET PAST 25
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U107 Footway From Palace Green Past 14 To Palace Street past 25 from the gable end of number 25 Footway From Palace Green Past 14 To Palace Street past 25 heading in a easterly direction for a length of 10 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 27th April 2026 until the 7th May 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 27th April 2026 until the 1st May 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th May 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Palace Street, Wellington Terrace, Palace Green and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate on existing stop tap and adjacent service to renew with boundary box. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U112 Well Road Footway from outside the rear of number 8 Tower Road heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 10 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 5th May 2026 until the 15th May 2026.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 5th May 2026 until the 8th May 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th May 2026.

There is no alternative route available.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

B6348 West End from its junction with the C43 heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 190 metres.

B6348 North Terrace from its point with West Endcontinuing in a north easterly direction for a length of 75 metres.

B6348 New Road from its point with North Terracecontinuing in a north easterly direction for a length of 280 metres.

B6348 Chatton to Chatton Park Bank from its pointwith New Road continuing in a north easterly direction for a length of 185 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th May 2026 until the 5th November 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates, however, the order will remain in place until 5th November 2026.

Civils – 5th May 2026 until the 19th May 2026between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00.

Surfacing – 20th May 2026 until the 22nd May 2026between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6348, A1, C47, C43 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

– SECTION 16A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthatNorthumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 15th April 2026 the Northumberland County Council (Berwick Riding of the Bounds 2026) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (“the TTRO”). The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Berwick Riding of the Bounds 2026 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U107 Parade for its entirety, the U107 Church Street for its entirety, the U107 Walkergate for its entirety, the A1167 Golden Square to Castlegate for its entirety, the C424 Marygate for its entirety, the U107 Golf Course Road for its entirety, the U107 Golf Course Access Road for its entirety, the U103 Westfield Road from outside no.1a Magdalene Drive to its junction with Sea View, the U103 Sea View for its entirety , the U103 Newfields from its junction with Sea View to its junction with the North Road Industrial Estate, U104 North Road Industrial Estate for its entirety, the U100 Dukeshall to County Boundary from the Scottish Border to the Edrington junction, the U70 Road to Letham Shank Farm for its entirety, the B6461 Gainslaw Hill to Canty’s Bridge for its entirety, the U70 Old Paxton Road for its entirety, the A6105 Castle Terrace for its entirety and theA1167 Castlegate for its entirety (“the Road”). The TTRO shall come into force at 10:30 hours on the 2nd May 2026and will remain in force until 16:00 hoursonthe 2nd May 2026, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO, however the Road will be re-opened as the Event passes through.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to theorganisation and holding of the Event;

b. Anything done with the permission of, or at thedirection of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of,the emergency services;

d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of astatutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

Restricted Byway No 18 (Parish of Roddam)

Adding thereto a restricted byway, from the C55 road, 270 metres south of the Old School House (O.S. Grid Ref NU 0326 1990), in a general southerly direction for a distance of 625 metres, to join Byway Open to All Traffic No 17, 540 metres north-east of Roddam Rigg farmhouse (NU 0339 1933).
