What is happening?

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (POMATHORN ROAD, PENICUIK) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R.5.4.332

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate Scottish Water embankment repair work Pomathorn Road will be closed from Pomathorn Bank to the entrance of the industrial estate. The Order has effect on 5th May 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 31st July 2026. Pedestrian access will be provided by escort when required. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted.

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate carriageway patching works, C37 Carrington Road, Carrington will be closed, in three phases, between Dalhousie Business Park and B6372. The Order has effect on 4 May 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 29 May 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted during each phase.
