DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF DERBYSHIRE
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH FROM COMMONSIDE ROAD TO PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 30 AND FOOTPATH FROM PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 30 TO SPRINGFIELD ROAD - PARISH OF BARLOW) MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
On 4 March 2026 the Derbyshire County Council confirmed the above-named Order.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the County of Derbyshire by adding to them a Public Footpath in the Parish of Barlow from Commonside Road at Point A (GR SK 3370 7519) proceeding in a generally westerly direction for a distance of 174 metres or thereabouts to Public Footpath No. 30 at Point B (GR SK3353 7520), with a width varying between 3.5 -7.5 metres.
The Order further adds a Public Footpath in the Parish of Barlow from Public Footpath No. 30 at Point C (GR SK 3355 7523) proceeding in a generally south-easterly then north north-easterly then north-easterly direction for a distance of 51 metres or thereabouts to Springfield Road at Point D (GR SK 3358 7525), with a width varying between 1.65 – 1.75 metres.

. Documents can also be seen free of charge at County Hall, Matlock during normal office hours where copies may be bought at the price of £1.00 or at Dronfield Library Manor House, High Street, Dronfield, S18 1PY during normal opening times.
The order comes into force on 4 March 2026, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Schedule 15 paragraph 12 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, within 6 weeks from the date of publication of this notice make an application to the High Court.
