What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(MYATT AVENUE & ROUGH HILLS ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make
an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles
from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Myatt Avenue closed from its junction with Parkfield Road to the side of
property 97. It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 5th May 2026 until
19th May 2026. Vehicular Diversion Route: Myatt Close, Legge Street, Parkfield
Crescent, Parkfield Road & vice versa.
· Rough Hills Road closed from its junction with Rooker Avenue to outside
property 11. It is anticipated that the closure will operate from 20th May 2026 until
10th June 2026. Vehicular Diversion Route: D’Urberville Road, Dixon Street,
Rooker Avenue & vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be undertaken between the dates specified above.
The Order is required to facilitate the construction of new manholes and sewer
connections by Quantum Ground Works Limited.
