(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make
an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Park Road East closed in both directions from its junction with Devon Road to its
junction with Park Road West/Southgate.
· Park Avenue closed in both directions between its junctions with Park Road East
and Bath Avenue.
· Southgate closed its entire length in both directions. Park Road West closed in
both directions between its junctions with Summerfield Road and Park Road
East/Southgate.
· Lansdowne Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion
Route: Newhampton Road East, Devon Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated
that the restrictions will operate on 3rd May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and
18:00.
The Order is required to facilitate the Vaisakhi Mela Event taking place in West Park
dated 23 april
