What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A1120 From Needham Road To Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket southbound from Gateway Boulevard to Needham Road, and;
- the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket northbound from Needham Road to Gun Cotton Way.
2. the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket southbound from Gateway Boulevard to Needham Road.
3. the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket northbound from Needham Road to Gun Cotton Way.
4. the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket northbound from Needham Road to Gun Cotton Way, and;
- the A1120 from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket southbound from Gateway Boulevard to Needham Road.

This is to facilitate carriageway surfacing and bridge joint works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the A1308, the A14, the A1120 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
1. 8:00pm on 18/04/2026 – 6:00am on 20/04/2026.
2. 8:00pm on 24/04/2026 – 6:00am on 27/04/2026.
3. 8:00pm on 08/05/2026 – 6:00am on 11/05/2026.
4. 8:00pm on 16/05/2026 – 6:00am on 18/05/2026.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways, Tel: 0345 606 6171.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U3427 Church Road And U3426 Pound Lane, Dalinghoo
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3427 Church Road, Dalinghoo from the junction with Pound Lane for 150 metres eastbound and the U3426 Pound Lane, Dalinghoo from 220 metres north of the junction with Wood Lane for 180 metres north eastbound to facilitate installation and replacement of electrical poles.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: School Road, Potash Farm Road, Pound Hill and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/04/2026 - 19/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management, Tel: (01473) 554385.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C372 Gloster Road, Martlesham
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C372 Gloster Road, Martlesham from northbound only from the junction with Barrack Square for 30 metres northbound to facilitate sluice valve and hydrant installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Barrack Square, the A12, Anson Road with no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/04/2026 - 23/04/2026 from 7:00pm – 6:00am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic, Tel: (01449) 490865.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1069 Snape Road, Tunstall
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1069 Snape Road, Tunstall from 158 metres southwest of the junction with Iken Road for 60 metres southbound to facilitate overhead structure works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the B1078, the A12, the A1094, the B1069 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/04/2026 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals, Tel: 0370 050 0792.
