(Newtoft Street) (Temporary road restriction and Traffic regulation) order 2026 – Temp/26/68 The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate drainage connection works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven on any part of newtoft St (access road to nos. 41a to 41d), at Newtoft St (main carriageway); and (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload form any vehicle at any time on both sides of newtoft St (access road to nos. 41a to 41d), from the extended south-east kerbline of Newtoft St (main carriageway), south-eastwards for 40m. Existing parking restrictions shall be suspended on the affected sections of road described in (b). There is no available diversion with respect to the closure of newtoft St (access road to nos. 41a to 41d), where local access will be maintained where practical. The Order shall have effect from 27/04/26 to 10/05/26.
