CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PARK ROAD, TODDINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Park Road, Toddington outside Hearn Manor Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 18 May 2026 between the hours of 0900 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Leighton Rd, Toddington Rd, Hockliffe Rd, Watling St, B5704, Mags Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(DUNSTABLE ROAD & BUCKWOOD LANE, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of a) D unstable Rd at the junction with Holywell Rd

b)  Buckwood Lane for the full length

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 20 May 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period. Both closures wont take place at the same time.

The alternative route for this closure is via Buckwood Lane – Byslips Rd, Clements End, Dunstable Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LUTON ROAD, CHALTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, Chalton outside Panattoni Park Building.

This temporary closure is required to enable final surfacing and white lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 19 to 27 November 2026 between the hours of 2000-0500. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The 30mph Speed Restriction will come into force from 18 May until 27 November 2026 for 24hrs a day.

The alternative route will be via Luton Road-Sundon Road-A5055-A5-Watling StreetA505-High Street North-Church Street-Luton Road-Dunstable Road-Oakley-Grange Avenue-Toddington Road-Luton Road and Vice Versa

The Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LOWER HARPENDEN ROAD, HYDE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Lower Harpenden Rd, Hyde between West Hyde Rd and the county border.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 25 to 7 May 2026 between the hours 0900-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B653, B652, A1081, B653 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 5 May 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
