SECTION 14 (1) - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF EVERINGHAM LANE, HAYTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Everingham Lane, Hayton commencing 30 April
2026 until 5 May 2026 each day between the
hours of 8.00 until 18.00 to allow works needing
a Road closure due to not been able to maintain
minimum widths while excavating to install approx.
170m of telecoms cable to link into existing telecoms
apparatus as part of the fibre to the home scheme on
Everingham Lane, Hayton.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within six days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via:
York Road, Hayton Layby, Thorpe Le Street Road,
Blamire Lane, Hayton CP, Everingham CP, Wolds
Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be
maintained for emergency vehicles.
