What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
PART OF FEOFFEE LANE, YAPHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding along part
of Feoffee Lane, Yapham from Yapham Cricket Club to
Smylet Cottage commencing 11 May 2026 at
08.00 hours until 13 May 2026 at 18.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Feoffee Lane, Yapham excavate to install
telecoms cable works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed
within three days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Feoffee Lane, Main Street, Meltonby Lane,
Meltonby Road, Pocklington Lane, A166 Garrowby
Road, A166 Garrowby Street, A166 Roman Road,
A166 Clay Hill, A166 Bridlington Road, Hatkill Lane,
Highfield Lane, Main Street, Fangfoss Road, Bugthorpe
CP, Full Sutton CP, Yapham CP, Bishop Wilton CP,
Skirpenbeck CP, Fangfoss CP, Kirby Underdale CP,
Wolds Weighton Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians.
The Order will commence on 11 May 2026 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
