(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding over those lengths of road in Lancashire, specified in the first column of article 1, of the schedule to this Notice.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures will be signed locally.
Access will be maintained via marshal points for residents and businesses.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the holding of the Chorley 10K Event.
The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours until 1300 hours on Sunday 3rd May 2026.
