Bramcote Road And Area, Beeston - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles For Carriageway Repair Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(BRAMCOTE ROAD AND AREA, BEESTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (BX26-078)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Beeston in the Borough of Broxtowe The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both sides) (at any time) in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.

3. Bramcote Road. Beeston - From its junction with Bramcote Drive to its junction with Holden Road Holden Road, Beeston - From its junction with Bramcote Road to its junction with Bramcote Drive.

Central Avenue, Beeston - From its junction with Bramcote Avenue for its full length.

4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Wednesday 22nd April 2026
Until 17:00 hours on Wednesday 6th May 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Bramcote Road:
Holden Road - Bramcote Drive and vice versa.

Holden Road:
Bramcote Drive - Bramcote Road and vice versa

Central Avenue:
No Diversion route possible.

The Order will come into force on 22nd April 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable VIA East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway repair works.
