(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Grove Lane – from the junction with B2082 Main Street to the junction with U6947 Playden Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2082 Main Street – U6947 Playden Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 8 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3106 West Hill Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
West Hill Road – from the junction with U3138 Quarry Hill to the junction with U3110 Boscobel Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3110 Boscobel Road, Pevensey Road – U3135 Pevensey Road – U3134 Pevensey Road – U3140 Kenilworth Road, Gensing Road – U3141 Norman Road – U3139 Mercatoria, Stanhope Place, Maze Hill – U3128 Maze Hill – U3138 Quarry Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 8 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6433 The Grove/Rope Walk, Rye)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Grove/Rope Walk – for 30 metres at the level crossing.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via U6433 The Grove, Deadmans Lane – A268 Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259(T) Fishmarket roundabout, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff, Strand Quay, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street – U6433 Rope Walk and southbound via U6433 Rope Walk – A268 Tower Street, Landgate, Rye Hill – U6433 Deadmans Lane, The Grove.
To maintain access a suspension of one way traffic on Deadmans Lane will be in place (revert to two way traffic) during these works. The Order commences 3 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 and 4 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
Swainham Lane – at Horseshoe Farm for 30 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 22 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 24 April 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Mill Lane – at the junction with A28 Main Road for 30 metres. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6961 Mill Lane – U6975 Cottage Lane – A28 Main Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 and 24 April 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Starvecrow Lane – from the junction with U6415 Ludley Hill to the junction with U6416 Hayes Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6415 Ludley Hill – U6416 Hayes Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 23 April 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Marley Lane – from the junction with U6330 Harrier Lane to the junction with P6823 Rutherfords.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C94 Marley Lane – A21(T) Hastings Road, Woodmans Green Road, Vinehall Road – A2100 London Road, Ten Sixty Six roundabout, High Street, Upper Lake – C94 Marley Lane and vice versa.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hooks Beech/Swailes Green – from the junction with B2089 Park Lane to the junction with B2089 Catts Green.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Park Lane – A21(T) Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road, New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede Road, Brede Hill, Cackle Street – B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 and 25 April 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
