What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2026

BUDE ROAD/HOLWELL ROAD/WAWNE ROAD ROUNDABOUT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Bude Road, Holwell Road and Wawne Road Roundabout, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during roundabout improvement and resurfacing works. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 27th April 2026, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, that the works will be completed:-
Bude Road improvement works between 27th April 2026 until 8th May 2026.

Holwell Road improvement works between 11th May 2026 until 22nd May 2026, and resurfacing works on Wawne Road, Holwell Road and Bude Road between 6pm and 5am commencing 12th November 2026 until 18th November 2026.

FALKLAND ROAD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along Falkland Road, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway and kerbing repair works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 20th April 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 20th April 2026 and 17th July 2026.
