Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 10/10/23 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 12 Curborough and Elmhurst Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 11 Curborough and Elmhurst Parish and Public Footpath No. 4 Fradley and Streethay Parish for approximately 665 metres in a northerly direction.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the laying of services and construction of the spine road for the surrounding housing development.
No alternative route is available.
A plan is displayed on site to show the length of public footpath to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 16/10/23 and has been extended for a further period of three months, until 16/7/26 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
