What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
WOODSIDE AVENUE SOUTH, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Woodside Avenue South commencing at its junction with Regency Drive and continuing to its junction with Kenpas Highway.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 20th April 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely renew a water connection.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 23rd April 2026. 
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) local vehicular access to Woodside Avenue South.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the
Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal
of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
HOLBROOK LANE SERVICE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Holbrook Lane Service Road commencing from its with junction Yelverton Road and then continuing approximately 125m south along the road.

The Order will come into effect on 20:00 hours on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 and is required to enable maintenance works to telecoms antennas using a MEWP to be carried out safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 05.00 hours on Thursday 23rd April 2026.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Bickenhill Road for its full length and Henwood Road Eastbound for its full length.

The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Friday 17th April 2026 and is required to allow for the safe continuation of development works at the Eastern Green development and to prevent ant-social behaviour on areas of the newly constructed road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 31st December 2026.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Fordwell Close commencing at its junction with Rushmoor Road The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Thursday 23rd April 2026 and is required to enable a long communications pipe to be repaired safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Saturday 25th April 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Fordwell Close.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads listed in the schedule below to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed. 

The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations.

The Order will come into effect from 07:00 hours on Friday 17th April 2026 and is required to enable the safe construction of a Cycle Lane on Humber Road and associated works on the roads listed in the Schedule below.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Monday 31st August 2026.

Diversion(s) routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the named roads.

SHERBOURNE CRESCENT, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Sherbourne Crescent from outside No 30 for 15 metres in each direction.

The Order will come into effect at 09:00 hours on Monday, 20 April 2026 and is required to enable the patching of defective line from within manhole chamber and associated works on Sherbourne Crescent to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 20 April 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

ROSEMARY CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Rosemary Close for its full length.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 22 April 2026 and is required to enable City Fibre to install ducting in the footway and carriageway and associated works on Rosemary Close to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 24 April 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Rosemary Close.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
COVENTRY HALF MARATHON & 10K RUN 2026

Coventry City Council (“the Council”) under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, as amended, has made a temporary Order (“the Order”), the purpose of which is to facilitate the holding of, and to enable members of the public to watch, the Coventry Half Marathon & 10K Run 2026.

The Order will come into effect at 18.00 hours on Saturday 18th April 2026 and will remain in operation until 15.00 hours on Sunday, 19th April 2026.

The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, unloading, entering, or proceeding along the lengths of the road listed in Schedules 1 to 3 below on the dates and times stated.

The restrictions in the Order shall apply to such extent and at such times as indicated by prescribed traffic signs on site.

Diversion routes for the closures will be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the event, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform or an authorised traffic management event marshal.

Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction would be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

VAISAKHI NAGAR KIRTAN PROCESSION

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on Stoney Stanton Road, Cross Road, Foleshill Road, Howard Street and Lythalls Lane Coventry.

The Order would come into effect from 09.00 hours on Sunday 26th April 2026 and is required to facilitate the safe operation of the procession on the said roads.

The Order would prohibit vehicles to such an extent and at such time as indicated by marshals and prescribed traffic signs. 

Diversion routes for the closures would be as signed. Roads would be re-opened at 16:30 hours on Sunday 26th April 2026 and as the procession passes. Surrounding roads would be managed by Saltern Event Support. VMS messages will be on signage in the local area.
