(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026

On 14 April 2026 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce a 20mph speed limit onto the following lengths of roads in Church Preen:
20mph Speed Limit

The unclassified road to Kenley (known as Kenley Common to Church Preen
School)
From its junction with the unclassified road to Hughley (known as Hughley to Church Preen School) for a distance of 41 metres in a northerly direction.
The unclassified road to Hughley (known as Hughley to Church Preen
School)
From its junction with the unclassified road to Longville (known as Church Preen School to Red House Farm Lane) for a distance of 125 metres in an easterly direction.
The unclassified road to Longville (known as Church Preen School to Red House Farm Lane)
From its junction with the unclassified road to Church Preen (known as Church Preen to School) for a distanceof 152 metres in a southerly direction.
The unclassified road to Church Preen (known as Church Preen to School)
From its junction with the unclassified road to Kenley (known as Kenley Common to Church Preen School) for a distance of 147 metres in a westerly direction.

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (UNCLASSIFED ROAD TO CHURCH PREEN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2026

On 14 April 2026 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce the following parking restrictions around Church Preen School:
No Stopping on School Keep Clear Markings
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

The unclassified road to Church Preen
(known as Church Preen to School) (north side)
From a point 37 metres east of the westernmost property boundary of Church Preen Primary School eastwards for a distance of 37.56 metres.

All of these changes will come into effect on 20 April 2026.

Copies of the orders may be examined during normal office hours (8:45am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:45am-4:00pm on Fridays) at Shropshire Council, The Guildhall, Frankwell, Shrewsbury.

If you wish to question the validity of either Order, or any provisions in it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from 14 April 2026, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
