What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic. 

TEMPORARY ONE WAY SUSPENSION ORDER
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BARLOW STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 04 May 2026 to 12 June 2026 WHERE: Close Barlow Street, from its junction with Sidney Street for a distance of approximately 150 metres. Suspend Barlow Street one-way order to its junction with London Road. REASON: Section 278 works 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sidney Street – Bloomfield Close – Osmaston Road – Bateman Street – Osborne Street – Barlow Street.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON KNGHTSBRIDGE, DERBY

WHEN: 17 May 2026 WHERE: Knightsbridge, close from its junction with Leytonstone Drive to its junction with Prince Charles Avenue. REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Brackensdale Avenue – Lyttelton Street – Cheviot Street – Slack Lane – Uttoxeter Old Road – Ashbourne Road – Prince Charles Avenue

TEMPORARY ONE WAY SUSPENSION ORDER
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ST MICHAELS LANE, DERBY

WHEN: 10 May 2026 WHERE: Close St Michaels Lane, at its junction with Sowter Road. Suspend St Michaels Lane one way order. REASON: Repair frame and cover ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sowter Road – Full Street – Derwent Street – On-Slip to St Alkmunds Way – King Street – Queen Street – St Michaels Lane

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON WRAGLEY WAY, DERBY

WHEN: 05 May 2026 to 15 May 2026 (07:30 - 17.30) Daily WHERE: Wragley Way, from its junction with Deep Dale Lane to its junction with Arleston Lane. REASON: Carriageway resurfacing works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Deep Dale Lane – Farmhouse Road – Arleston Lane (and the same in the opposite direction)
