(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 127) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Newland Lane, Normanton from the junction with Wakefield Road, outside number 7. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Newland Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SANDY LANE, MIDDLESTOWN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 128) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for maintenance patching to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sandy Lane, Middlestown from the junction with Low Lane to the junction with Cross Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sandy Lane. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Low Lane, New Road, Cross Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th April 2026 to 23rd April 2026 between 07.30 hours and 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BLENHEIM ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 135) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds f or new water connection works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Blenheim Road, Wakefield outside number 5.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Blenheim Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Belmont Street, Kensington Road, Richmond Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th May 2026 to 8th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(PARK MILL LANE, FLUSHDYKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 138) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for litter picking, grass cutting, road sweeping, tree pruning & gully cleaning to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Park Mill Lane, Flushdyke, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Park Mill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Batley Road, Flanshaw Lane, Flanshaw Way, Albert Drive, Wakefield Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th May 2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
