Minehead - Temporary Footway Closure For Reinstatement Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Minehead Temporary Closure of Footway Between Higher Place And Garden View
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding along; Footway Between Higher Place And Garden View - from outside property number 3 Garden Way, south-westwards for a total distance of 35 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement works.
The Order becomes effective on 30th April 2026 and will remain in force for 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th May 2026 and last until 7th May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 2 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
