Holway Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Footway Reconstruction Works

Somerset Council Parish of Taunton Temporary Closure of Holway Road (South-Eastbound Carriageway and Footway)

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Holway Road (South-Eastbound Carriageway and Footway) - from the junction with Wordsworth Drive, south-eastwards for a total distance of 244 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out footway reconstruction works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 30th April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th May 2026 and last until 5th June 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 31 days.
