Quay Street - Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works To Clear Blockages
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Minehead Temporary Closure of Quay Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended), propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Quay Street - from 49 metres south-east of the junction with The Quay, south-eastwards for a total distance of 114 metres.
This Order will enable Mack Utilities Ltd to clear blockages on behalf of Openreach.
The Order becomes effective on 30th April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th May 2026 and last until 6th May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 1 day.
