THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SHOWELL ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council ave made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the h
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Showell Road outside
Venture Building.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 17 April 2026, between the hours of 09:30
and 15:30.
The diversion routes are: Northbound: Showell Road,
Bushbury Lane, Stafford Road, Coxwell Avenue,
Glaisher Drive. Southbound: Glaisher Drive,
Coxwell Avenue, Stafford Road Roundabout,
Stafford Road, Bushbury Lane, Showell Road.
The Order is required to facilitate the repair/replacement of
a Defective Manhole Frame and Covers by Severn Trent
Water.
