Fratton Way - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Fratton Way) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.73) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 21st April 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FRATTON WAY (NORTHBOUND)
From its junction with Fratton Way Roundabout to opposite the Vista Apartments.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 21st April 2026 to 22nd April 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place overnight between 21:00 and 05:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Goldsmith Avenue, Milton Road, Rodney Road, Fratton Way.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
