MANOR FARM LANE, HONEYDON 26 – 008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Farm Lane, Honeydon outside Yew Tree Cottage.
This temporary road closure is required for fire hydrant repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 29th April 2026 to 1st May 2026
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Manor Farm Lane, Begwary Lane, Mill Road, Staploe Road, Lower Honeydon Lane.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Spring Road, Kempston outside 152.
This temporary road closure is required to replace air valve chamber frame and cover and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 16:00 hours from 28th April 2026 to 30th April 2026

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSE TO INTRODUCE NEW WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN STATION ROAD, OAKLEY
Reason for Proposal:
Bedford Borough Council proposed to introduce waiting restrictions to improve traffic flow at peak times and improve road safety.
Effect of the Order:
1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions on the following lengths of roads:

| (i) | On its north kerb starting 0.7 metres southeast of the boundary line between Nos 41a and 43 for a distance of approx. 22.2 metres in a south easterly direction. |
| (ii) | On its south kerb 0.4m south of a point opposite the boundary line between Nos 41a and 43 for a distance of approx. 62.5 metres, in a south westerly direction |
2. To introduce “No waiting Monday to Friday 08:00am to 4:30pm” restrictions on the following length of road
| A | Station Road, Oakley |
| (i) | On its west kerb starting approx. 13.8 metres north of the projected centre line of the Reynes Drive junction and heading in a northerly direction for approx. 20 metres. |
| (ii) | On its west kerb starting approx. 14.1 metres south of the projected centre line of the Reynes Drive junction and heading in a southerly direction for approx. 20 metres. |
| (iii) | On its west kerb starting approx. 108.5 metres south of the projected centre point of the Reynes Drive junction and heading in a southerly direction for approx. 14 metres |
| (iv) | On its west kerb starting approx. 4.7 metres north of the boundary line between Nos 92 and 94 and heading in a northerly direction for approx. 5 metres. |

30/40MPH SPEED LIMIT ON MANOR ROAD, KEMPSTON HARDWICK
Reason for Proposal:
To relocate the existing 30/40mph speed limit transition on Manor Road to avoid conflict with construction access required during enabling works.
Effect of the Order:
- To amend the extent of the 30/40mph speed limit on the following length of road:

| (i) | Relocating the speed limit terminal from a point approximately 46.8 metres west of the projected centreline of the site access road, to a point approximately 58 metres further west. (104.8 metres west of the projected centreline of the site access road) |

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
A 24-HOUR CLEARWAY ON BROADMEAD ROAD, STEWARTBY
Reason for Proposal:
To prevent dangerous parking, facilitate the free flow of traffic and prevent obstruction of the highway along Broadmead Road. This is required for the completion of enabling works and will be in place permanently when the development is complete.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce a 24- hour clearway in the following location:

| (i) | Starting from a point 25.1 metres south east of the junction with the A421 Woburn Road and extending in a south easterly direction to a point 20 metres north of the projected centre line of the Broadmead Road and Kiln Drive roundabout. |
