ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (HAMPOLE BALK LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1 Trunk Road, in the District of Doncaster, to enable resurfacing, road marking and road stud works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Sunday  10 May 2026 for 1 day, or until completed,  and will take place between 7am and 7pm.

The effect of the Order will be, at times during the works, to ban vehicles from entering or leaving the A1 southbound carriageway at its junction with Hampole Balk Lane. During the closure a suitably signed alternative route will be available at all times.

Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 9 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
