The Army and Navy Junction (Classified Road) (Side Roads) Order 2026

The Essex County Council (‘the Council’) hereby give notice that it has made, and is about to submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, and Order made under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council:
a) improve the highways;
b) stop up highways;
c) construct new highways;
d) stop up private means of access to premises; and
e) provide new means of access to premises.

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the A1114 Essex Yeomanry Way; A1114 Van Dieman’s Road; A1114 Princes Road; A138 Chelmer Road; and A1060 Parkway.

Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans, may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours from 16th of April 2026 until 28thof May 2026 at Essex County Council, County Hall, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1GG; Chelmsford Library, Ground Floor, County Hall, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1QH; Great Baddow Library 27 High Street, Great Baddow, Chelmsford, CM2 7HH.

Any person may not later than 28th of May 2026 object to the confirmation of the Order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ.

Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interests in the land.
