The following public notices were served on Thursday 9th April 2026:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1), 14(4) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS REDWAYS AND ROADS WITHIN MILTON KEYNES – MK MARATHON AND ROCKET 5K EVENT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2347)
The effect of the above-named traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close and restrict the following to enable the MK Marathon and Rocket 5K Event.
Sunday 3rd May 2026 – Rocket 5K Event 2026
The following lengths of road will be closed from 06:00 am to 09:10 am:-
Midsummer Boulevard (both sides) - between Grafton Gate & Witan Gate;
Upper Second Street - Its entire length;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 08:30 am to 09:10 am:-
Saxon Gate (both sides) - From its junction with Midsummer Boulevard to its junction with H6 Childs Way;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 08:30 am to 09:20 am:-
Childs Way (both sides) - From its junction with South Witan Roundabout to its junction with South Secklow Roundabout;
Saxon Street (both sides) - From its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H7 Chaffron Way;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 08:30 am to 09:35 am:-
Saxon Street (both sides) - From its junction with H7 Chaffron Way to its junction with H8 Standing Way;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 09:00 am to 09:30 am:-
H8 Standing Way (both sides) - From its junction with Chapter/Medale Road to its junction with Hospital Roundabout;
Controlled Access for blue lights, emergency services, and hospital staff with ID;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 08:30 am to 09:40 am:-
Saxon Street (both sides) - From its junction with H8 Standing Way to its junction with H9 Groveway;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 09:00 am to 09:45 am:-
H9 Groveway (both sides) - From its junction with Redmoor Roundabout to its junction with Simpson Roundabout;
Controlled Access to Blue Light Hub via Redmoor Roundabout;
The following lengths of road will be closed from 08:30 am to 10:00 am:-
Saxon Street (both sides) - From its junction with H9 Groveway to its junction with H10 Bletcham Way;
Access to Bramley Road from H10 Bletcham Way.
As this is a rolling closure, the temporary restrictions will only apply when the competitors pass along the above-stated roads. Once the final runner has passed and it is safe to do so, all roads will reopen.
Monday 4th May 2026 – MK Marathon Event 2026
The following lengths of road will be closed (during the times stated below)
FROM 05:30 TO 16:30
V7 Saxon Street from its junction with H10 Bletcham Way to its junction with H9 Groveway;
Access to Bramley Road from H10 Bletcham Way;
Dawson Road between the redway and the junction with Saxon Street;
Clarke Road between the redway and the junction with Dawson Road;
FROM 09:00 TO 10:30
V7 Saxon Street from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H7 Chaffron Way;
H6 Childs Way from its junction with South Witan Roundabout to its junction with South Secklow Roundabout;
South Saxon Roundabout;
FROM 09:00 TO 11:00
Avebury Boulevard, CMK (both sides) from its junction with South Seventh Street to its junction with South Eighth Street;
Midsummer Boulevard, CMK (both sides) from its junction with Upper Fourth Street to its junction with Saxon Gate;
Silbury Boulevard, CMK (westbound) from its junction with Upper Fourth Street to its junction with North Eighth Street;
Saxon Gate, CMK (both sides) from its junction with Silbury Boulevard to its junction with H6 Childs Way;
Witan Gate, CMK (both sides) from its junction with Silbury Boulevard to its junction with Midsummer Boulevard;
The entire lengths of Upper Fourth Street and Upper Fifth Street;

V7 Saxon Street from its junction with H7 Chaffron Way to its junction with H8 Standing Way;
H7 Chaffron Way from its junction with Rainbow Drive, Leadenhall, to its junction with Harrier Drive, Eaglestone;
Eaglestone Roundabout;
Golden Drive, Eaglestone, from its junction with Condor Close to its junction with Peregrine Close;
FROM 08.30 TO 09:30
V7 Saxon Street from its junction with H8 Standing Way to its junction with H9 Groveway;
H9 Groveway from its junction with Redmoor Roundabout to its junction with Simpson Roundabout;
Ashland Roundabout;
Controlled Access to Blue Light Hub via Redmoor Roundabout;

Dodkin, Beanhill from its junction with V7 Saxon Street to a point in line with the boundary line of numbers 7 and 8 Dodkin;
Wastel, Beanhill from its junction with V7 Saxon Street to its junction with Perrydown;
Robins Hill, Coffee Hall from its junction with V7 Saxon Street to the loop;
FROM 09:00 TO 09:30
Coffee Hall Roundabout;
H8 Standing Way from its junction with Chapter, Coffee Hall to its junction with Hospital Roundabout;
Controlled Access for blue lights, emergency services, and hospital staff with ID via Bleak Hall roundabout;
FROM 09:00 TO 13:30
The Green, Woughton-on-the-Green its entire length;
Newport Road, Woolstone from its junction with Marshalls Lane to its junction with Pattison Lane;
FROM 07:30 TO 15:30
Simpson Road, Simpson from its junction with Hamner Road to its junction with Beales Lane;
FROM 09:30 TO 16:00
Tewkesbury Lane from its junction with Woodspring Court to its junction with St Bernadette’s school car park entrance;
Simpson Drive from its junction with Simpson Road to its junction with Hamner Road;
Hamner Road from its junction with Simpson Road to the Canal bridge;
Old Groveway, Simpson, its entire length;
Newington Gate from its junction with Marlborough Street to its junction with Penhurst Crescent;
Penhurst Crescent from its junction with Newington Gate to its junction with Southcott Way;
FROM 10:30 TO 14:30
Newington Gate junction with Milton Road;
Northfield Drive (northern entrance) junction with V11 Tongwell Street;
Northfield Drive (southern entrance) junction with V11 Tongwell Street;
Noon Layer Drive between Hensman Gate and Dalton Gate;
The following redway road crossing points will be controlled from 09:00 to 16:00:-
Lloyds;
Waterside;
Frobisher Gate;
Hobart Crescent;
Massie Close;
Hammond Crescent;
Abraham Close;
Peterborough Gate;
Landsborough Gate;
Portland Drive access to the Willen Pavillion;
Newport Road/ Milton Road at North Willen;
Aldrich Drive;
Fire Station exit road;
Entrance to Oakgrove School car park;
Kilwinning Drive;
Traffic calming measures will be in place in the following locations from 10:00 to 15:00:-
Traffic calming Newport Road, Willen and its junction with Lindford Lane;
Traffic calming Milton Road, Willen and its junction with redway just south of St Mary Magdalene Church;
Traffic calming Willen Road, Milton Keynes Village, from its junction with Great Pasture and its junction with Finch Close;
The following ONE-WAY SYSTEMS WILL BE IN PLACE BETWEEN 09:00 to 14:00:-
Newport Road, Woughton-on-the-Green, from its junction with The Green to its junction with H7 Chaffron Way northbound;
Newport Road, Woolstone, from its junction with Pattison Lane (south end) and Pattison Lane (north end) Northbound;
THE FOLLOWING DIVERSION ROUTES WILL BE SIGNED DURING THE EVENT, WHILST V7 SAXON STREET AND H8 STANDING WAY ARE CLOSED:-
FROM WEST TO EAST (FROM 08:00 TO 16:00)
Via V6 Grafton Street, Grafton Gate, H5 Portway and V8 Marlborough Street;
FROM EAST TO WEST (FROM 08:00 TO 16:00)
Via V8 Marlborough Street, H5 Portway, Grafton Gate and Grafton Street;
TO ACCESS THE HOSPITAL (FROM 09:00 to 09:30)
Via V6 Grafton Street, Grafton Gate, H5 Portway and V8 Marlborough Street. Emergency vehicles will be permitted access through Coffee Hall Roundabout;
THE FOLLOWING PORTE COCHERE’S WILL BE CLOSED (FROM 08:30 TO 11:00):
Silbury Boulevard, CMK (both sides) (Between North Fourth Street and North Eighth Street);
Midsummer Boulevard, CMK (both sides) (Between Upper Fourth Street and Saxon Gate);
THE FOLLOWING U-TURN MANEUVER BAN WILL BE DISABLED FROM 08:30 TO 11:00:-
Avebury Boulevard, CMK;
THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE NO WAITING DURING (during the event times):-
Dawson Road between the redway and the junction with Saxon Street;
Newport Road, Woolstone from its junction with Marshalls Lane to its junction with Pattison Lane;
St Stephens Drive, Bolbeck Park, from its junction with Bernay Gardens to its junction with Hobart Crescent;
Milton Road, Willen, from its junction with Linford Lane to its junction with the redway exit path just south of St Mary Magdalene Church;
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A422, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2336)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along A422, Newport Pagnell on its eastbound carriageway at a speed in excess of 40mph from its junction Willen Road to its junction with London Road whilst works to create a new pedestrian overbridge are being undertaken as part of a new residential development.
The temporary 40mph speed restrictions will be in effect from 14th May 2026 until 26th February 2027 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND REDWAY IN ASHLAND, EAGLESTONE, HEELANDS, OLDBROOK AND STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2355)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following lengths of road
26th May 2026 (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Montagu Drive, Eaglestone – from Golden Drive to outside number 12
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Golden Drive and Forest Rise (and vice versa).
18th – 20th May 2026 (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Arncliffe Drive and Redway HE01, Heelands – From East Dales to Outside number 9
Whilst the above road closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via East Dales and Langcliffe Drive (and vice versa).
Whilst the above redway closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Redway HE05, Redway HE04 and Redway HE02 (and vice versa).
4th – 8th May 2026 (8:30am – 4:30pm)
Larwood Place, Oldbrook – between numbers 25 and 31.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Hutton Avenue, Shackleton Place and Oldbrook Boulevard (and vice versa).
5th – 12th May 2026 (24 hours)
Redway AS04, Ashland – from its junction with Newington Gate for a distance of 290 metres in southerly direction.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be signed via the adjacent footpaths.
22nd May 2026 (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Hayes, Stony Stratford – Outside number 14
Whilst the above closure is in effect, there will be no alternative route.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 14th April 2026, made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GREATCHESTERS, BANCROFT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2338)
The effect of the above-named traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close Greatchesters, Bancroft to enable Openreach to undertake ducting works.
Greatchesters, Bancroft – between numbers 22 and 25.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route, however access will be provided where safe to do so.
The closures take effect from 20th to 22nd April 2026 (24 hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (RICHBOROUGH, BANCROFT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2336)
The effect of the above-named traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close Richborough, Bancroft to enable Openreach to undertake ducting works.
Richborough, Bancroft – between numbers 14 and 39.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route, however access will be provided where safe to do so.
The closures take effect from 24th to 27th April 2026 (24 hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MONKS WAY V10 TO WILLEN ROAD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 (Reference TTRO-2313)
The effect of the above-named traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily close Monks Way to enable Cornerstone Communications to undertake works to undertake works to undertake a pole swap.
Monks Way – between Willen Road and Brickhill Street (its westbound carriageway
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Willen Road, Dansteed Way and Brickhill Street.
The closures take effect from 20th to 24th April 2026 (8:00pm to 6:00am).
