What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

(ALL SOULS ROAD, BOOTHTOWN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of All Souls Road from junction with Laura Street to Sunnybank for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Haley Hill, Range Lane, Range Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th April 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st April 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SAVILE ROAD, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Savile Road from No.11 East View to No.3 East View for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Savile Road, King Street, Church Lane, Mytholm Bank, Bank Terrace and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th April 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SHORE NEW ROAD, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Dutton TM, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Shore New Road from Pudsey Road to Mount Pleasant Farm for a distance of approximately 346 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via A646 Halifax Road, Cross Stone Road, Hey Head Lane, Eastwood Road, Kebs Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd April 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd April 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:30 & 17:00.

(WATSON MILL LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Peter Duffy Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Watson Mill Lane from outside Willow Industrial Complex to outside Unit D for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via West Street, Bridge Street, Scar Head Road and vice versa. It isproposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd April 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd April 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 22:00 & 06:00.

(BILLY LANE, OLD TOWN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Billy Lane from junction of Lane Ends Lane to 4 Clough Hole for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Billy Lane, Parrock Lane, Akroyd Lane, Keighley Road, Commercial Street, Burnley Road, Midgley Road, Height Road, Nook Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 17th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(MIDGLEY ROAD, MYTHOLMROYD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Midgley Road from Ewood Court Farm to Towngate/ Height Road for a distance of approximately 530 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Midgley Road, A646 Burnley Road, Commercial Street, Keighley Road, Wadsworth Lane, Height Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(RED BRINK LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Red Brink Lane from Sunny View Farm to Shaws Lane/ Toot Hill Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Red Brink Lane, Hubberton Green Road, Plain Laner, Ratten Row Road, Otter Lee Lane, Kennel Lane, Poverty Lane, Turgate Lane, Shaws Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SHAWS LANE, TRIANGLE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Shaws Lane from Pipits Cottage to Red Brink Lane/Toot Hill Lane for a distance of approximately 90 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Red Brink Lane, Hubberton Green Road, Plain Laner, Ratten Row Road, Otter Lee Lane, Kennel Lane, Poverty Lane, Turgate Lane, unaffected part of Shaws Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(TOWNGATE, MIDGLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Towngate from Midgley Road/Height Road to 56 Towngate for a distance of approximately 530 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Towngate, Jim Allen Lane, Solomon Hill, New Road, Luddenden Lane, A646 Burnley Road, Midgley Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(BOOTH HOUSE ROAD, LUDDENDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Booth House Road from No. 12 to No. 1 Oak View for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Blackwood Hall Lane, Morley Hall Lane, Brocks, Sowerby Lane, Hand Carr Lane, unaffected part of Booth House Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th May 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(NEW STREET, CLIFTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sunbelt Rentals Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of New Street from junction with Westgate/Coal Pit Lane to Mowbray Cottage View for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Grange Lane, Towngate, Westgate and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 5th May 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30.

(SAVILE PARK, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council for safety reasons intend to make an Order to introduce temporary parking restrictions in the length of Savile Park from junction of Savile Park and Skircoat Moor Road to junction of Savile Park and northern part of Manor Heath Road (260m north of junction of Savile Park and Skircoat Moor Road) for a distance of approximately 260 metres. PROVIDED THAT pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained.

No waiting at any time restrictions on:

1.  Approach to traffic lights,

2.  Junction protection for Manor Heath Road (north and south)

3.  Protection of access to local business

4.  Provide visibility for pedestrians using the footpath across the moor.

Plus:

Limited time waiting to provide short term parking for users of the business and the moor.

It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, or 8th November 2027. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
