NOTICE OF PROPOSED ROAD HUMPS AND PARALLEL PEDESTRIAN
AND CYCLE CROSSING, CASWELL ROAD,
BRACKMILLS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, NORTHAMPTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to construct road humps and a parallel pedestrian and cycle crossing on the length of highway specified below.
The proposed works are intended to improve road safety and provide enhanced facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
Proposed Road Humps
The Council proposes to construct a series of flat-topped road humps, each approximately 75 millimetres in height, at various locations on:
• Caswell Road, Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton
The precise locations of the road humps are shown on the plans deposited at the address below.
Proposed Parallel Pedestrian and Cycle Crossing
The Council further proposes to provide a parallel pedestrian and cycle crossing, incorporating a flat-topped road hump, on:
• Caswell Road, Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton
This crossing will include tactile paving and Belisha beacons and will be located as shown on the deposited plans.
