What is happening?

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Mundford – Fir Close from 35m south of its junction with A134 Cranwich Road for 30m southwards to facilitate a new gas connection from 13th to 15th April 2026 (may continue until 27th May 2026).
Alternative route is via U3340 Fir Close, A134 Cranwich Road, U3340 Fir Close.
The works promoter is Cadent.

Pulham Market – C465 Station Road from 590m southwest of its junction with C877 Harleston Road for 40m south-westwards to facilitate a meter exchange between 08:00 and 16:00 on 13th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Station Road, Semere Lane, A140 Ipswich Road, Tivetshall Road, Tattlepot Road, Bank Street, The Green (Pulham Market, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Tivetshall).
The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Swaffham – New Sporle Road from 280m southeast of its junction with A1065 Castle Acre Road for 30m southwards to facilitate a new water connection from 13th to 15th April 2026 (may continue until 27th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: U33356 New Sporle Road, C562 Mangate Street, A1065 Station Street/Castleacre Road, U33356 New Sporle Road.
The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Swaffham – New Sporle Road from 110m south of its junction with St Guthlac Close for 30m southwards to facilitate sewer connection works from 16th to 29th April 2026 (may continue until 10th June 2026).
Alternative route is via: U33356 New Sporle Road, C562 Mangate Street, A1075 Station Street/Castleacre Road, U33356 New Sporle Road.
The works promoter is DAB Group.

Tittleshall – 3F212 High Street to Peakhall Road from its junction with U35111 High Street to its junction with U31099 Peakhall Road to facilitate installation of a fire hydrant from 15th to 17th April 2026 (may continue until 29th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: N/A.
The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Tivetshall St Margaret And Tivetshall St Mary – B1134 Station Road at its intersection with the level crossing for 10m westwards and 10m eastwards to facilitate railway track maintenance from 23:00 on 17th April to 04:00 on 20th April 2026 (may continue until 1st June 2026).
Alternative route is via Station Road, Ipswich Road, B1113, B1077, Long Row (Tivetshall, Pulham Market), Wacton, Long Stratton, Tasburgh, Saxlingham Nethergate, Newton Flotman, Swainsthorpe, Stoke Holy Cross, Keswick, Swardeston, Mulbarton, Bracon Ash, Wreningham, Ashwellthorpe, Tacolneston, Bunwell, Carleton Rode, New Buckenham, Banham, Winfarthing, Tibenham, Aslacton).
The works promoter is Network Rail.

Tivetshall St Margaret And Tivetshall St Mary – U76172 Hales Street at its intersection with the level crossing for 10m northwards and 10m southwards to facilitate railway track maintenance between 23:00 and 04:00 from 17th to 20th April 2026 (may continue until 30th May 2026).
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The works promoter is Network Rail.

Watton – U33450 Dereham Road from its junction with U33148 Harvey Street for 15m southwards to facilitate sluice valve repairs from 17th to 20th April 2026 (may continue until 1st June 2026).
Alternative route is via: U33450 Dereham Road, A1075 Cadman Way, B1108 High Street.
The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Wymondham – U78331 Rightup Lane from its junction with C594 Station Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate subway project works from 13th to 19th April 2026 (may continue until 31st May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Rightup Lane, Swallow Drive, Heron Rise, Silfield Road.
The works promoter is M Group.

Wymondham – U78488 Stanleys Lane from its junction with C593 Silfield Road for 40m westwards to facilitate subway project works from 13th to 19th April 2026 (may continue until 31st May 2026).
Alternative route is via Stanleys Lane, Philip Ford Way, Silfield Road.
The works promoter is M Group.

Burnham Market – U22170 Station Road from 80m south of its junction with B1155 Church Walk for 260m eastwards to facilitate overhead cable works between 09:00 and 15:00 on 15th April 2026 (may continue until 27th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Station Road, Creake Road, Front Street, Market Place.
The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

King’s Lynn – Vancouver Avenue from its junction with York Avenue to its junction with South Gates Roundabout to facilitate manhole construction works between 09:00 and 18:00 from 11th to 12th April 2026 and between 19:00 and 06:00 on 13th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: London Road, St James Road, Austin Street, Gaywood Road, Tennyson Avenue, Tennyson Road, Goodwins Road, Vancouver Avenue.
The works promoter is Norfolk Blueprint Construction.

North Runcton – A10/A149 Hardwick Roundabout from its junction with the A10 West Winch Road for 60m to facilitate resurfacing works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 16th to 18th April 2026 (may continue until 30th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: West Winch Road, Main Road, Lynn Road, Stoke Road, Downham Road, High Street, Swaffham Road, A47, Norwich Road, Constitution Hill, A47 Trunk Road From The Pullover Roundabout To The Hardwick Roundabout (Barton Bendish, Swaffham, Beachamwell, Stradsett, Fincham, Narford, Narborough, North Runcton, East Winch, Pentney, West Winch, Wormegay, Tottenhill, Shouldham Thorpe, Middleton).
The works promoter is National Highways.

Outwell – Pius Drove from its junction with U21539 Back Lane for 170m northwards to facilitate laying of a new duct from 12th to 16th April 2026 (may continue until 28th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Pius Drove, Town Street, Rectory Road, Isle Road, Basin Road, The Cottons (Outwell, Upwell).
The works promoter is Granemore Group.

Outwell – C589 The Cottons from 5m south of its junction with U215538 Cottons Head for 85m southwards to facilitate duct laying works on 13th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: The Cottons, Pius Drove, Town Street, Rectory Road, Isle Road, Basin Road (Upwell, Outwell).

Outwell – U21012 Mullicourt Road from 600m northeast of its junction with A1122 Downham Road for 345m north-eastwards to facilitate duct installations between 08:00 and 18:00 from 14th to 15th April 2026 (may continue until 27th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Mullicourt Road, Angle Road, Langhorns Lane, Downham Road.

Outwell – C5 Stow Road from 160m west of its junction with C16 Marsh Road for 160m westwards to facilitate duct installations between 08:00 and 18:00 on 17th April 2026 (may continue until 29th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Stow Road, Outwell Road, Highbridge Road, The Drove, Barroway Drove Road, Nordelph Bridleway 2, Downham Road, Well Creek Road, Langhorns Lane (Stow Bardolph, Nordelph, Outwell).

Upwell – U21019 Stonehouse Road from 70m southwest of its junction with A1101 New Road for 120m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway box works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 13th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026).

Upwell – Pius Drove from its junction with U21539 Back Lane for 170m north-westwards to facilitate laying of a new duct between 08:00 and 18:00 on 16th April 2026 (may continue until 28th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Pius Drove, Town Street, Rectory Road, Isle Road, Basin Road, The Cottons (Outwell, Upwell).

Watlington – C52 Station Road from its junction with John Davis Way to its junction with Britton Close to facilitate remedial works from 13th to 15th April 2026 (may continue until 27th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Station Road, Church Road, Stow Road, Low Road, West Head Road, The Causeway, Holme Road, Downham Road, Watlington Road, School Road (Stow Bardolph, Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen, Runcton Holme, Watlington).
The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Wiggenhall St. Germans – C10 Sluice Road from its junction with U23536 Lewis Drive for 240m westwards to facilitate duct installations from 15th to 17th April 2026 (may continue until 29th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Sluice Road, School Road, Fitton Road, Magdalen High Road, Lords Bridge, High Road, The Avenue (Wiggenhall St. Germans, Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen, Tilney St. Lawrence).

Wormegay – U21325 Craven Lane from 180m north of its junction with U21326 Church Lane for 50m northwards to facilitate a meter exchange between 08:00 and 16:00 on 14th April 2026 (may continue until 26th May 2026).
Alternative route is via: Craven Lane, Church Lane, Stoke Road, Castle Road.
The works promoter is Anglian Water.
The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is West Streetworks.
Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by traffic of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
