THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SPRING ROAD/MANOR ROAD/ETTINGSHALL
ROAD) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of
road:
l Ettingshall Road closed from its junction with Meadow
Lane to its junction with Hurst Road. It is anticipated that
the closure will operate for 2 days between 16 April 2026
and 17 April 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Shaw Road, Birmingham New
Road, Rookery Road and vice versa.
l Spring Road closed its entire length in both directions. It is
anticipated that the closure will operate for four days
between 20 April 2026 and 1 May 2026, between the
hours of 09:30 and 14:30. Vehicular Diversion Route:
Birmingham New Road, Parkfield Road and vice versa.
l Manor Road closed its entire length in both directions. It is
anticipated that the closure will operate for one day
between 21 April 2026 and 24 April 2026, between the
hours of 09:30 and 14:30. Vehicular Diversion Route:
Spring Road, Birmingham New Road, Parkfield Road and
vice versa.
l Ettingshall Road closed from its junction with Parkfield
Road to its junction with Bilston Road. It is anticipated that
the closure will operate for 2 days between 29 April 2026
and 6 May 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Millfields Road, Coseley
Road, Black Country Route, Oxford Street, Wellington
Road, Bilston Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken between the dates detailed above, at the times
specified.
The Order is required to facilitate pre-patching prior to
surface treatment works in the carriageway.
