SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF SAND LANE, WILBERFOSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Sand Lane, Wilberfoss from its junction with
Newbridge Lane heading west bound to Bankburn
Grange commencing 15 May 2026 to install ducting
and chambers for fiber network.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within seven days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via:
Feoffee Common Lane, A1079 York Road,
A1079 Hull Road, Bolton Lane, Newbridge Lane, Sand
Lane, Newton on Derwent CP, Barmby Moor CP,
Wilberfoss CP, Fangfoss CP, Pocklington Provincial
Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
